Beeson Avenue Pump Station


The Marianna-West Bethlehem Joint Sewer Authority will receive bids for the Beeson Avenue Pump Station in Marianna Borough until 3:00 P.M. local prevailing time on Monday, August 3, 2020 for furnishing labor, materials, and performing all work set forth in the advertisement, general conditions, drawings, and specifications.

The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Marianna-West Bethlehem Joint Sewer Authority Office located at 247 Jefferson Avenue, Marianna, Pennsylvania, 15345, at 5:00 P.M. on August 3, 2020.

Copies of the contract documents including drawings, technical specifications, and bid forms are available at no cost via download from the Widmer Engineering Inc. website at under “Bids”.  If hard copies are desired, a non-refundable payment of $125.00, including tax, payable to Widmer Engineering for each set of contract documents is required.  Questions should be directed to Widmer Engineering at 724-228-1550.

Bids, whether mailed or delivered in person, shall be sealed, and marked “Marianna-West Bethlehem Joint Sewer Authority – Beeson Avenue Pump Station” and addressed to Sarah Boyce, Widmer Engineering Inc., 61 East Wheeling Street, Washington, Pennsylvania, 15301.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty, which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The form of the guaranty shall be in accordance with the type permitted under the contract documents.

Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project; that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap.

The Marianna-West Bethlehem Joint Sewer Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.

Bids may be held by the Marianna-West Bethlehem Joint Sewer Authority for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the contract.

In no event will the Marianna-West Bethlehem Joint Sewer Authority consider a contractor as eligible if he cannot initiate the work under the contract within 30 days of the contract execution and proceed to the successful completion of the work within 150 consecutive calendar days of the Notice to Proceed.
