Jeannette Fire Station
Sealed Bids for the construction of the City of Jeannette Fire Station will be received, by the City of Jeannette City Hall located at 110 2ND Street, Jeannette PA 15644, until 12:30 P.M. local time on September 24th, 2024. The Bids received will be publicly” opened and read aloud at 1:00 P.M. local time on September 24th, 2024 at City Hall . The Project consist of constructing a Fire Station Garage at 2nd Street / Clay Avenue complete with a parking lot, stormwater management system and additional site features. An alternate bid will include the construction of an adjoining headquarters facility.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 A.M. local time on September 17th, 2024 at the Jeannette City Hall. Any questions concerning the project, locations, and the bidding procedure will be discussed at that time. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory.
Each proposal shall be accompanied by security in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to the order of City of Jeannette in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid in accordance with provisions of the Contract Documents.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Widmer Engineering Inc., 225 West Crawford Avenue, Connellsville, PA 15425. Electronic PDF copies, suitable for printing, of the Contract Documents may be viewed and downloaded at the Widmer Engineering website @ www.widmerengineering.com under the tab “Bids”. Electronic PDF documents are available at no charge. Hard copies will not be distributed.
The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap.
State Prevailing Wage Rates will be required for this Project.
The City of Jeannette reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the biddings.
Bids may be held by the City of Jeannette for a period of forty five (45) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the Contract.
Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons who are registered as having obtained Contract Documents.
