ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the Dawson Borough 2025 Paving Project, County of Fayette, will be received by Dawson Borough at Widmer Engineering Building at 225 West Crawford Avenue Connellsville, PA 15425, until 4:00 P.M., local prevailing time on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025.
The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Borough Building located at 209 Howell Street Dawson, PA 15428 at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025.
The work will consist of keyways and resurfacing of Howell Street within Dawson Borough.
Each proposal shall be accompanied by security in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to the order of Dawson Borough in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid in accordance with provisions of the Contract Documents.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Widmer Engineering Inc., 225 West Crawford Avenue, Connellsville, PA 15425. Electronic PDF copies, suitable for printing, of the Contract Documents may be viewed and downloaded at the Widmer Engineering website @ www.widmerengineering.com under the tab “Bids”. Electronic PDF documents are available at no charge. Hard copies will not be distributed.
The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap;
Dawson Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the biddings.
Bids may be held by the Dawson Borough for a period of forty five (45) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the Contract.
Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons who are registered as having obtained Contract Documents.
