ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
POGUE ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
Sealed proposals for the Donegal Township – Pogue Road Improvement Project will be received by Donegal Township, 34 N. Liberty Street, P.O. Box 310, West Alexander, PA 15376, until 12:00 noon, local prevailing time, on Monday August 19, 2019 for furnishing labor, materials, and performing all work set forth in the advertisement, general conditions, drawings, and specifications for the Pogue Road Improvement Project.
Plans, specifications and bid documents are available only via download from the Widmer Engineering website at www.widmerengineering.com under “Bids”. Proposals must be on the forms provided by the Engineer. Each proposal shall be accompanied by either a certified check or Surety Company bid bond payable to Donegal Township in the amount of not less than ten (10%) of the contract amount. Upon successful award of the contract, a 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond shall be required.
Bids, whether mailed or delivered in person, shall be sealed and clearly marked “Pogue Road Improvement Project” and addressed to Donegal Township, 34 N. Liberty Street, P.O. Box 310, West Alexander, PA 15376.
The successful bidder must carry insurance with financially responsible insurance companies licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and approved by Donegal Township and shall be kept in force until the successful bidder’s work is accepted by Donegal Township. Contracts of insurance which expire before Donegal Township accepts the successful bidder’s work shall be renewed and evidence of such renewal shall be submitted to Donegal Township for approval.
The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any portion thereof, or to waive any informalities in the bids. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to this project.
Bids may be held by the Township for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of the bids for the purpose of reviewing bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the Contract.

It is the contractor’s responsibility to check their email addresses at appropriate intervals. Any questions regarding the project must be sent via email to email@example.com. All questions and answers will be posted to the bid advertisement page. Questions will not be answered via phone calls during bid stage. Upon completion of each field, double check your information then click “SUBMIT” and you will be directed to the download page. Incorrect or incomplete information could disqualify your bid.
