Jackson Township – Keyhole Road Culvert Replacement Project



                  Sealed proposals for the Jackson Township – Keyhole Road Culvert Replacement Project will be received by Jackson Township, 104 Tunnel Road, Holbrook, PA 15341 until 5:00 P.M., local prevailing time, on Monday June 1, 2020 for furnishing labor, materials, and performing all work set forth in the advertisement, general conditions, drawings, and specifications.  Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Supervisors meeting scheduled for 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday June 2, 2020.

The work will consist of the removal of an existing culvert pipe beneath Keyhole Road and installation of an aluminum plate box culvert structure in Jackson Township, Greene County, PA.  Contractors shall comply with all current State and Township COVID-19 safety guidelines during construction.

Plans, specifications and bid documents are available at no cost via download from the Widmer Engineering Inc. website at https://widmerengineering.com under “Bids”.  Proposals must be on the forms provided by the Engineer.  Each proposal shall be accompanied by either a certified check or Surety Company bid bond payable to Jackson Township in the amount of not less than ten (10%) of the bid amount. Upon successful award of the contract, a 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond shall be required.

Bids, whether mailed or delivered in person, shall be sealed and clearly marked “Jackson Township – Keyhole Road Culvert Replacement Project” and addressed to Richard Kerch, Jackson Township, 104 Tunnel Road, Holbrook, Pennsylvania 15341.  Office hours for the Jackson Township Municipal Office are normally 6:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Monday through Thursday.  Current office hours may vary due to the current COVID-19 climate.  Bids delivered in person can be left in the drop box at the Township office.

The successful bidder must carry insurance with financially responsible insurance companies licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and approved by Jackson Township and shall be kept in force until the successful bidder’s work is accepted by Jackson Township.  Contracts of insurance which expire before Jackson Township accepts the successful bidder’s work shall be renewed and evidence of such renewal shall be submitted to Jackson Township for approval.

Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to this project.

Bids may be held by Jackson Township for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of the bids for the purpose of reviewing bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the Contract.  Jackson Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any portion thereof, or to waive any informalities in the bids.
