Monaca Waterline Replacement – PennVEST

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The Borough of Monaca, Beaver County, Pennsylvania will accept sealed bids at the Office of the Borough Manager, 928 Pennsylvania Avenue, Pennsylvania, 15061 until 2:00 P.M., on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 for the project: Monaca Waterline Replacement – PennVEST.

Plans, specifications and bid documents are available only via download from the Widmer Engineering web site at: widmerengineering.com under bids.  Requests for clarification must be submitted by email only to MonacaProjects@widmerengineering.com.  The responses shall be publicly displayed on the Widmer Engineering Inc. website. All requests for clarification must be received no later than five (5) business days prior to the anticipated date of receipt of Bids.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, bank check, money order or bidder surety bond in the amount specified in instructions to bidders as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into, and its performance properly secured.

Bids will be opened publicly by the Borough on the date and hour set above for the bid closing.  Bids will be considered by the Borough of Monaca at its meeting at 7 P.M. on July 8, 2025.

The project shall be funded through PENNVEST. PA Prevailing wage rates will be required to be paid on this contract.

PA Steel Product Procurement Act and Competitive Procurement (‘Or Equal’ Requirements) are mandated for the project.

The Borough of Monaca reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids, and to award the contract to the best interest of the Borough.
