As part of ongoing construction efforts, the contractor has installed four beams at Greene County Bridge No. 31. This key milestone represents notable progress in moving the project forward safely and on track with the schedule.
The original bridge carries Franklin Township Road No. 491 over Smith Creek adjacent to a “T” intersection at S.R. 0218. Constructed in 1926, the bridge features a single-span design with five (5) reinforced concrete beams resting on reinforced concrete abutments. It includes a reinforced concrete deck and concrete parapets.
