This project replaces the Greene County Bridge No. 73 in Morris Township, PA which was built in 1919 and consisted of a 30’-8” single span, steel I-beams, timber plank deck and steel pipe railing that was founded on stone abutments and wingwalls.
The newly constructed bridge is 30’-10” single lane prestressed concrete composite spread box beam bridge which offers a safe, modern, and dependable crossing over Bates Fork Creek.
The structure was opened to traffic on August 27, 2025, and improves local connectivity, boosts safety, and enhances mobility for the area.
