This project involved replacing Greene County Bridge No. 31 in Franklin Township Road. The original bridge, built in 1926, spanned Smith Creek and consisted of a 49’-6” single span supported by five reinforced concrete beams on reinforced concrete abutments.
The new structure replaces the deteriorated single-lane bridge with a two-lane prestressed concrete composite spread box beam bridge, providing a safer and more dependable crossing over Smith Creek.
The upgraded bridge opened to traffic on November 17, 2025, improving connectivity and enhancing mobility throughout the area.
