Widmer Engineering Inc. was founded in 1974 in Beaver Falls, PA by Joseph H. Widmer, a former Director of Computer Systems, for a global engineering firm. In 1977, we expanded with the opening of a branch office in Connellsville, PA.

In 1995, leadership transitioned to Joseph’s son, David H. Widmer, who became President. That same year, under his direction, the company acquired Engelhardt-Power and Associates Inc., establishing a strong presence in Washington County, Pennsylvania.

Our growth continued in December 2000 with the acquisition of R.B. Shannon & Associates, Inc., further enhancing our capabilities and service area.

Widmer Engineering Inc. (WEI) is dedicated to delivering high-quality service to clients of all sizes. The firm has successfully managed contracts ranging from $100 to $10 million. A core strength of WEI is its ability to adapt across a broad spectrum of services and project scopes.
