Decades Of Service
Widmer Engineering Inc. (WEI) was founded in 1974 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania by Joseph H. Widmer, a former Director of Computer Systems for a global engineering firm. Building on early success, the company expanded in 1977 with the opening of a branch office in Connellsville, Pennsylvania.
In 1995, leadership transitioned to Joseph’s son, David H. Widmer. That same year, under David’s direction, the company acquired Engelhardt-Power and Associates Inc., expanding its presence in Washington County, Pennsylvania.
Our growth continued in December 2000 with the acquisition of R.B. Shannon & Associates, Inc., further enhancing our capabilities and service area.
WEI is committed to providing high-quality service to clients of all sizes. With experience managing contracts ranging from $100 to $10 million, WEI has demonstrated a unique ability to adapt to a wide variety of services and project scopes-making flexibility and client responsiveness key strengths of the firm.
