ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the North Fayette County Municipal Authority – Russell Road Waterline Extension Project, Jefferson Township, County of Fayette, will be received by the North Fayette County Municipal Authority located at 1634 University Drive PO Box 368, Dunbar, PA 15431, until 2:00 P.M., local prevailing time on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at which time they will be will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work will consist of installation of 3,500’ of 6” DR-14 pipe, valves, bends, tees, concrete restoration, hydrants and pavement restoration; complete in place.
Each proposal shall be accompanied by security in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to the order of the North Fayette County Municipal Authority in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid in accordance with provisions of the Contract Documents.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Widmer Engineering Inc., 225 West Crawford Avenue, Connellsville, PA 15425. Electronic PDF copies, suitable for printing, of the Contract Documents may be viewed and downloaded at the Widmer Engineering website @ https://widmerengineering.com/ under the tab “Bids”. Electronic PDF documents are available at no charge. Hard copies will not be distributed.
Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose names and addresses are on record as having obtained Contract Documents.
Attention is directed to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project; that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap; that a mandatory ratio of apprentices and trainees to journeymen is required in each craft and that the Contractor (and any subcontractor) is obliged to make a “diligent effort” to achieve these ratios.
The North Fayette County Municipal Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the biddings.
Bids may be held by the North Fayette County Municipal Authority for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the Contract.
